hanna ngo

why this project?

~$ found a youtube video about codepen

~$ wanted to learn how to build a personal website from scratch

~$ personal websites are common for developers

~$ useful for computer science majors

things i learned

~$ html: relearned from my freshman year computer science class

~$ css: concepts like flexbox and keyframes

~$ javascript: cool page movements

~$ stack overflow is your best friend

~$ how. to. code. an. entire. website. from. scratch. (still need to learn how to self-host though)

challenges

~$ i make a lot of typos when typing (very crucial for html)

~$ copy and paste is a lot harder than you think

~$ making websites mobile friendly is tedious (i still haven’t figured it out)

~$ trying to fill gaps in my knowledge through stack overflow

final opinions

~$ 10/10 would recommend

~$ really helped on CS3 HTML assignment

~$ good preparation for intro to cs courses in college, unlike cybersecurity courses i took last semester

final question

~$ would it be unethical to try and claim the domain url hanna.ngo?
